How to sync contacts in the FullContact for Web app


When an account is created with Google Sign-In, those contacts will sync into FullContact from your Google Contacts account. Afterward, you can connect and disconnect new sources in FullContact Web App, iOS App, or Android App. On a Premium plan, you can sync up to 5 Google Contacts, iCloud, and / or Exchange accounts.

When an address book is added, you can manage Settings. Contacts will either be set to Sync with FullContact, or you can turn off Sync. This means contacts will be connected to FullContact, but not bidirectionally syncing between FullContact and the source account. Information contained in an address book which is not syncing will be used to update any of your existing Contacts. 

In FullContact for Web app:


On the home screen, navigate to the right of the search bar, click (+) --> Source if you are wanting to connect a new address book source.


Select which type of Address Book you would like to add from the menu by clicking on the image. Next, follow the prompts to enter your account credentials to get connected.


You can also import contacts from a .csv/vCard file. FullContact supports the upload of all vCard files, as well as most .CSVs exported from common contact platforms like Google and Microsoft Outlook. For more information on supported .CSV format click hereDepending on the size of the file, this may take up to several minutes. Your contacts will then appear in the Address Book menu.

Clicking the 3 dots next to each address book connected will give you options to export or disconnect an address book.


If an address book is toggled on, all contacts will be synced to My Contacts in FullContact. This means that they will be combined with any other connected and syncing accounts. It's important to decide prior to connecting whether you want to sync the contacts or not, otherwise, it will require some steps to restore your contacts to how they were prior to syncing them. 

As an FYI, unfortunately LinkedIn’s terms of use restrict us from regularly and automatically importing large amounts of contact data into FullContact on your behalf. As a result, we have to use your ability, as a LinkedIn user, to export your contacts and then import them into FullContact to accomplish the same function. To connect LinkedIn, go to your Settings page--> Look for Import from Files. It will look like this:


From there you will connect LinkedIn by clicking that line item. It will show a screen that looks like this:


Currently, FullContact for Android, FullContact for iOS, and FullContact for Mac does not support adding your LinkedIn contacts.
