Why is FullContact retiring Mattermark’s Key Person Email Discovery feature?
Mattermark has historically operated as a provider of business data. After being acquired by FullContact, Mattermark’s Key Person Email Discovery feature was found to contradict FullContact’s terms of service, as well as FullContact’s existing principles around making email addresses and other personal publicly accessible. The decision was therefore made to sunset this feature.
When is FullContact retiring Mattermark’s Key Person Email Discovery feature?
Mattermark’s Key Person Email Discovery will be permanently disabled via both the web interface and all Mattermark APIs on May 25, 2018.
How long can I continue to use Mattermark’s Key Person Email Discovery feature?
Mattermark’s Key Person Email Discovery feature will no longer be available for use after May 25, 2018.
Does this affect the Mattermark API?
Yes - the Mattermark API will no longer return email addresses for key personnel either from the REST API or the GraphQL API. In the case of the REST API, we will be deprecating the “/companies/:id/contact” endpoint and returning a 404, and the GraphQL API will begin returning a null value if and when contact information is requested. We believe this is the most consistent way to adhere to the protocols and minimize the chances of breaking an existing integration without a code update.
